LOUD BEE
Privacy policy
Draft of October 26, 2026
Loud Bee is a spelling app for children, for iPhone and Android, from The Bridge to AI, LLC, doing business as Loud Bee (“we”). This policy covers the app and this website, loudbee.app. The short version:
- There are no accounts. Profiles, practice, and word sets are saved on the device, and we don’t receive them.
- A word set comes from the web address in a QR code that you scan. The app downloads it, and its recordings, from whoever shared it, not from us.
- No ads and no tracking, in the app or on this website.
- We don’t collect personal information from children, and we don’t sell or share personal information.
- Deleting the app deletes everything it saved.
What the app saves on your device
Loud Bee keeps these on the device, in storage only the app can read:
- Profiles: each one’s name and color. A nickname is fine. The app never asks for a full name, an email address, or a birthday.
- Practice: for each profile, the words practiced, each spelling as it was typed, whether it was right, the practice pile of missed words, and finished and paused sessions.
- Word sets: each set’s file, its recordings, the web address it came from, and the date it was added.
- Settings: such as the voice speed.
None of it is sent to us. On Android, the app’s data isn’t included in device backups. On iPhone, a backup of the device can include profiles and practice, as your backup settings allow. Recordings are left out of backups, and a restored set can download them again.
The camera
Loud Bee uses the camera only while the scan screen is open, to find a word set’s QR code. The picture is read on the device, and it isn’t saved or sent anywhere. The app asks before it first uses the camera, and you can turn camera access off at any time in your device’s settings.
On Android, the QR code is found by Google’s ML Kit, which runs on the device. ML Kit sends Google information about how it’s working, for diagnostics: the device model and system version, the app’s name and version, a random identifier for the installation, timings, and error codes. It doesn’t send the camera’s picture or what the code says. Google describes this in its ML Kit data disclosure.
What the app downloads
When you scan a word set’s QR code, the app downloads the file at that web address, then each recording the file lists. They come from the websites where they’re kept, which belong to whoever made or shared the set, such as a school or a teacher, and not to us. Like any website, those sites receive your device’s IP address and a request for each file, and their own privacy policies apply. The app sends them nothing about who is practicing.
We don’t review the word sets other people make. Scan codes from people you trust.
Voices
A word, meaning, or sentence without a recording is read aloud by the speech voice built into your device. Your device’s maker, or the voice’s provider, supplies it, under their own terms.
What we never collect
Loud Bee has no ads, no advertising identifiers, no tracking, and no analytics of its own. It doesn’t ask for location, contacts, photos, or the microphone. It has no accounts or sign-in, and it doesn’t send profiles or practice to us or to anyone else.
Children’s privacy
Loud Bee is made for children to use, with a grown-up adding the word sets. We don’t collect personal information from children. What a child enters, a profile’s name and the spellings they type, stays on the device.
Deleting what the app saved
Deleting the app removes its profiles, practice, word sets, and recordings from the device. We don’t receive any of it, so there’s nothing for us to delete.
This website
loudbee.app has no cookies, analytics, ads, or tracking, and nothing to sign up for. The spelling sample reads its words with your browser’s voice. Some browsers use an online voice, which sends the words being read to the browser’s maker. What you type stays in the page. Like any website, the service that hosts this one, Amazon Web Services, receives your IP address and the pages your browser asks for, to deliver them.
Security
Loud Bee downloads word sets and recordings only from
https addresses, checks each file before using it, and
keeps what it saves in storage only the app can read.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version here, with the date it takes effect at the top.
